Michiganensian Yearbook, University of Michigan

  • Managed all business, marketing and contractual operations of yearbook and 30-person staff in order to continue successful production of the publication’s 120-year history and preserve an active brand on campus.

  • Delegated a series of marketing campaigns on platforms including e-mail, print, social media and outdoor University of Michigan campus locations. Strategized the timing, framing, and Michiganensian brand uniformity for all endeavors.

  • Constructed $300,00 annual budget in addition to submitting monthly budget variances and forecasting cash flow updates throughout the year to stay on track with forecasted profit margins. Analyzed sales data and assessed $120,000 inventory demand to ensure high profit margins while optimizing earning potential.

 

Urban Scholar Intern                                                                                                                                                               May 2017-August 2017 

Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission, Human Resources Division 

  • Analyzed and offered improvements on MAC's hiring process, community recruitment efforts, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) programs.

  • Conducted research and benchmarking of national airports, government agencies and private sector companies to determine successful diversity and inclusion practices of MAC’s regional and occupational peers.

  • Drafted version 2 of the Metropolitan Airports Commission Diversity Plan, offering recommendations for recruitment, hiring, retention, and inclusion of protected class and underrepresented employees. Defined and clearly presented the Business Case for Diversity and its relevance to the MAC.

Cast Member: “Party Girls: Exploring Politics Across America”                                                                                        July 2016-January 2017

Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and Reel Roost Inc.

  • One of six participants in an unscripted docu-series highlighting millennial female voters of color and their political representation.

  • Traveled throughout the United States to advocate for critical issues that uniquely affect women of color during pivotal moments of political realization and controversy. Issues included “Black Lives Matter”, gun violence, race, gender, and party identification.

  • Consulted with WNBA New York Liberty players to explore the contractual issues and resistance against their stance on the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Little Brown Jug Scholarship Recipient                                                                                                                                     August 2017-Present

  • One of two recipients of the University of Michigan Twin Cities Alumni Association’s Little Brown Jug Scholarship.

 

Shipman Scholarship Recipient, University of Michigan                                                                                                   September 2015-Present

  • Awarded the Sidney J. and Irene Shipman Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship offered to less than 30 prospective freshman students from an initial applicant pool of over 50,000. Served as the elected educational development chair.
