I am a current junior at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, majoring in Public Policy with a focus in Racial Inequities in Law and Policy. Additionally, I am minoring in Writing. A law school hopeful, I am passionate about finding and combatting discrepancies in social policies that impact people's lives in overlooked ways. After constantly questioning racial and socioeconomic differences in education success during my 12 years as a Minneapolis Public Schools student, I have tried to get closer to finding answers during my time at the University of Michigan.

My podcast "Watch Your Tone" was inspired by a term paper I wrote during my sophomore year, "Colorism: The Hidden Discriminant in America's Black Community." This paper was heavily research-based and technical, allowing me to see the quantitative effects of colorism but leaving me wanting to discover more. "Watch Your Tone" embodies the personal and conversationalist approach to the issue. I believe that the holistic approach to difficult issues leaves the most room for productive dialogue and problem-solving.
